About me

Who I am and why I make learning apps for my children.

Hi, my name is Magdalena. I teach maths at one of the best private secondary schools (licea) in Kraków, Poland. I am a mother of four, and my husband teaches mathematics at university, so numbers are part of everyday life in our home, and not only at homework time.

I make the apps on this site for my children. Whenever one of them is learning something new, whether it is the times tables, intervals at music school or logarithms for the final exam, I build practice that fits exactly that moment: short tasks, a friendly character who gives hints and praise, and stars for progress. If the apps help my children, they may help yours too, so I share them for free, with no ads and no sign-up.

What I stick to

  • Praise for effort. When a child makes a mistake, the apps give a hint instead of a penalty, and they celebrate a run of right answers together with the child.
  • No miracle methods. There aren't any. Steady, short practice works best.
  • Made in Poland. The apps were first written for Polish schools, so a few topics follow the Polish curriculum and Polish written methods (for example the layout of long division). The rest of the site, with guides and recommendations, is available in Polish.
